In this quick 5 minute video, we will run through the steps involved to get the Beaver Builder theme and Page Builder plugin installed on your WordPress site.
If you're starting off with a brand new WordPress installation, it will only take 5-10 minutes to get everything installed, so you'll be able to to start building that awesome website of yours with Beaver Builder in no time. Okay, let's go...
Installing the Beaver Builder theme
Login to your account at http://wpbeaverbuilder.com
Download the following 3 files to a safe place on your computer.
- Beaver Builder Plugin (Pro Version)
- Beaver Builder Theme
- Beaver Builder Child Theme
**If you only purchased the Beaver Builder plugin, you will only see the first file. Scroll down for plugin instructions**
Login to your WordPress admin area and click on Appearance > Themes
Click on the Add New button at the top of your screen, then click on the Upload Theme button. When you click on Choose File a new window will open.
Locate the folder where you downloaded the Beaver Builder files, then double click on the bb-theme.zip. Click on the Install Now button.
On the next screen, click on Return to Themes page
We're going to repeat Step 4, but this time you need to select the
bb-theme-child.zip. When it has finished uploading, click on Activate.
Nearly there — you now have the Beaver Builder theme installed and ready to go. That wasn't too painful was it?
We're going to install the Beaver Builder plugin next. This is nearly the same as installing the theme, so won't take long.
Installing the Beaver Builder plugin
In the WordPress admin sidebar - Click on Plugins > Add New then click on the Upload Plugin button at the top of your screen.
Click on the Choose File button and locate the bb-plugin-pro.zip file that you downloaded earlier. Double click on the zip file, then click on the Install Now button.
When the bb-plugin-pro.zip file has finished uploading, you can click on Activate. All that's left to do, is set up the remote updates for the plugin.
In the WordPress admin sidebar, click on Settings > Page Builder. Enter the email address that you used to purchase the Beaver Builder plugin, then click on Save Subscription Settings.
That's it! Your Beaver Builder theme and plugin are all set up and ready to go. In the next video, we'll be showing you how to configure the Beaver Builder theme.
